confirmations: the amount of confirmations simply means that the transaction has been inside the blockchain for the last xxxx blocks. Every block in the chain is another condirmation. This confirmation thingie is a heritage from bitcoin that has a questionably reason to exist in sc. You can figure out at which block it occurred that way... $blockcount - $confirmations. The block that put it in the blockchain is the first confirm.
